In short
Twentry is a tool for keeping your own books. You decide what goes into your journal, and you check it. It isn't financial, tax, accounting or legal advice.
The licence
Twentry is licensed to you under Apple's standard licence agreement for apps from the App Store, which also sets out the warranty and liability terms. These terms add to it how the app works. Nothing in them limits your rights as a consumer, or the rights that the open-source licences in Acknowledgements give you.
Your records
Your journals are yours. Twentry reads and writes the files you choose, on your iPhone; Ledger checks each change before it is saved, and the previous version is kept in Backups. Keep a backup of your own too, in your iPhone's backups or on a computer.
Figures and reports
Balances and reports are computed by Ledger 3.4.1 from what your journal says. Amounts in another currency are estimates at the prices your journal gives. Check the figures that matter before you rely on them, for example for taxes.
AI suggestions
The optional AI proposes entries from what you type, say or share. It can be wrong, also where nothing is highlighted, so check each proposal before you save it. Nothing is saved without you, except by a rule you turn on yourself in AI settings, and you can undo that. An answer to a question shows Ledger's figures for the accounts and the period the model chose: check that they are the ones you meant.
Other services
GitHub and Hugging Face are separate services with their own terms. Syncing keeps your journal in your GitHub repository as plain text. A model is downloaded from Hugging Face under the model's own licence, shown in Acknowledgements.
What Twentry isn't
It isn't a bank, a payment service or an adviser. It doesn't move money, doesn't connect to banks, and doesn't tell you what to do with your money.
Beta versions
A beta from TestFlight is for testing and may have errors that lose or damage data: use a copy of your journal, or keep a backup. Feedback and crash reports you send through TestFlight reach the developer with your name and email address.
Changes and contact
A new version of these terms will be in the app and on the website, with its date. Questions: support@twentry.app.
